so what are you thinking right now?

On a related note... I have another banana in my purse. Someone please remind to take it out later tonight. I have had an apple in there since Wednesday that I can't seem to remember to take out!!

If you've ever had a beagle, and you ever left any food or gum in your purse and left the purse within reach of said beagle, you would only make that mistake once. When everything in your purse gets chewed up because you turned your back for two seconds, and 12 hours later your beagle is ****ting foil gum wrappers and blowing bubbles out its **** (not really :giggles:), you learn.

a beagle can also snatch off the kitchen counter and eat an entire rotisserie chicken in about 4 minutes, bones and all. You will wonder where the F you put the chicken... you will even go back to the garage to see if you left it in your car, before you notice your beagle is looking pretty bloated and acting kind of sluggish.

DH just sat DD9 and DD8 down and told them the truth about Santa. They took it better than expected. And are looking forward to still playing along for the sake of their younger siblings.

KG your beagle story is hilarious and so true. We have a beagle, a pug and 2 cats and the only time the 2 species like each other is when they tag team to get food. One time I had packages of steak defrosting on the counter and when I walked in the house it looked like someone was massacred. I could just see the cats first taking a crack at the steals and then batting them on the floor for the dogs. Not a pretty site.

:snort:

Is this why you're now a cat person? :giggles:

 Lotsacoups

:huggy: Valerie.. what predicated that?

She was actually a great dog when she wasn't trying to steal food, eat my sister's orthodontic retainer, or scarf tissues and used mint dental floss out of the bathroom trash can (string of poop trailing out of dog butt, anyone?).

I don't hate dogs; I just happened to get cats first. I do want a big dog someday, when I'm looking for a higher-maintenance pet. It's DH who is really anti-dog....

Fridays are generally slow, but ****, I'm the only one here...

I feel like this guy:

I know the feeling oh, so well. :( but I'm usually way more outnumbered when I log on 1 of us and 26 of "them" :hurt:

1st day back to work for the season. Mixed feelings. Additional money is nice, waking up to an alarm on a Saturday, not so much. Thankfully I only work 2 Saturdays this season.

Teenager + very very pregnant = more drama than I can handle. She is being such a brat. She was being so nasty last night that I cried. I realized after our lovely conversation that she could care less about what I think or feel, and that the sooner I realize that, the better off I will be. So, I have let the whole situation go. I can't handle it. She will come to me if/when she needs me. I am not her mother, and while I am the only connection she has to her dad(and brother!) I cannot force a relationship if it is something she does not want.

day 3 of this cold... nyquil is failing... it is not kicking the colds ****. I suppose working 50 hrs a week is not helping to kill the cold either... neither is talking all night to training someone how to do the job... ugh, I need to lose this **** cold!

after attempting to apply for help thru my local township and being turned down...they don't help pay medical debt. I decided to call St. Vincent Depaul's local chapter for my area. They say they can help but want to make a "home visit" this kind of creeps me out! Is this standard that they do this? I don't live at the Ritz...my home is about 1200 square ft. w/no garage and old dilapidated furniture. Here's hoping that it goes well and told DH he had better help me clean for Tues. or else!

Feeling grateful to have running water & electricity after getting off the phone with friends in Greenwich, CT who still have neither, although they could certainly afford to get a generator if they had thought about it earlier... for Pete's sake they sold their 120 ft yacht this summer because they were getting too old to deal with it.

And feeling very, very broke myself after paying all of my November bills including the whopping RE tax bill. Now if I can get thru the month without buying much gasoline [though I have several necessary upcoming trips to both Boston & the Cape], live off the stockpile, it stays warm cuz I'm almost out of heating oil [its dang expensive], and nothing major breaks [had to dip into my almost emergency fund]:gah: :gah::surrender:

I admit it was hard to be sympathetic to friends without power or water in a multimillion dollar home when they could well afford a whole house generator to not only power their 2 wells pumps, but both wings of their main home, never mind the guest house...

Didn't have the heart to tell them I'm sure Mitt will be there to help :snort:

Kind of amazed that I could google the model # of a 25 year old microwave and still get the installation manual for it, so I can figure out how to rip it out. :snicker:

I know what you mean, MIL keeps calling me about her friends who are pretty well off and live in New Jersey. Her house car and family are untouched but according to MIL - She was "running out of clean underwear!" by Thursday.....ummm, OK. Hard to get too sympathetic when you watch the news and see those poor people out there without homes. Did ya not see the storm warnings?
