Man.. after reading this article is just reaffirm's my belief that if we get into a ground war.. if we try to occupy territory in afghan.. we gonna get screwed.. I'm all for bomb raids or special forces raids.. but ground war.. no..

Yeah, it's probably wise not to go for a full-on ground invasion. However, the Afghans in the Soviet war were equipped and trained by the U.S. - it's a bit of a different story here. The other thing to note is that if any armies go in a full-on invasion, they'll probably be Turkish or Syrian.
