This is more of a rant than a cry for help, but I figured I'd post here anyway....
I've been having HORRIBLE issues w/my secondary hd.
Originally it was giving me issues with not allowing me to use the remaining 800mb on the drive (and no there is no OS on this drive so that shouldn't happen)....
Now..... I went searching last night and deleted around 8gb worth of crap. I later rebooted and went to check on my free space... 1.4gb!!!!
I say WTF to myself and get mad...... about 10 min later I take a look again and it's up to 5.4gb, and that's what it's at now.
What the heck happened to the other 2.6gb!??!?!?!
I ran scandisk over night (since it took that long) and it found nothing. I'm doing a defrag now (which will most likely take around 20 hours) and I hope it finds something.
ARGH!

Anything change in the BIOS?
What size is the drive recognized as by the BIOS?

Are you using any drive compression?

Have you tried running any disk utilities, like Norton Disk Doctor?

25gb as it should be

Nope

Not a bad idea, I'll have to search around for that.

I've had NDD fix a lot of problems with the drive misreportiing free drive space, but I've never seen it off by as much as 6GB+.

defrag didn't help
i found a copy of NDD that and installed
gonna try that later tonight after a reboot ;)
