People are taunting starving victims in the besieged Syrian town of Madaya with photos of food.
Although there are ways of transporting food and medical supplies into the town, Madaya has been completely sealed off by the Syrian government and Hezbollah.
Because of this, Médecins Sans Frontières says it hasn’t been able to distribute food to the town’s 40,000 residents since October 18 last year.
A hashtag mocking the starving people of Madaya – #متضامن_مع_حصار_مضايا, which roughly translates to ‘in solidarity with the siege on Madaya’ – has gone viral on Twitter and Facebook.
