Tatu were forced to cancel their concert in Monte Carlo at the weekend after singer Julia Volkova was taken ill with appendicitis.
Volkova, 18, said she was taken to hospital after suffering severe stomach pains while driving around the Russian capital.
Doctors at the Moscow Central Hospital diagnosed her with appendicitis and operated on the teenager immediately.
Volkova said: "I was taken to hospital just at the right time. Doctors told me the operation was a success but said there could have been complications if I had left it until later."
According to daily newspaper Zhizn, the operation has left a five-centimetre scar on the star's stomach.
The pair were forced to cancel their Monte Carlo concert, which was due to take place on Saturday, after doctors ordered Julia to rest.
