Around here is trash day which means getting up to make sure we have it all gathered and out on the street in time. Cause we never know what time they will be here. They've been 7AM all the way to 9AM. And we aren't suppose to put it out the day before altho many do.

I've already cleaned my kitchen this morning. Granted, it wasn't that dirty but I did have to get a few things done.

Looks like another hot day out there. Liz

OB, I'm glad you found us again. Don't mind Chris (The Brit)...he's just overworked!

Liz, our garbage isn't supposed to be put out before 5 pm the day before garbage days. They say pickup is 6 am and after...I've heard the truck(s) out there at 5 am sometimes! So I've learned my lesson to always have the garbage out at the curb the night before.

Yesterday our next-door neighbor who has an above-ground pool in his backyard installed a fountain in it and has it running 24 hours a day. The pool is about 6 feet from our house so it is very noisy. My dd's bedroom is right next to the small deck around the one side of the pool and she said this morning she can't even have her window open at night because of the noise of the water! I'm going to speak to my neighbor and request he turn the stupid thing off at night!

Not much on the agenda for today...but I do have to change over the clothes...I haven't done that chore yet and I doubt we'll have freezing temps again for awhile.

Carol, you can tell your neighbor that aerating his pool with a fountain will use up a lot more chemicals. The chlorine will flash off into the air, requiring him to increase his usage. What's with some neighbors?

Ozark Baby, I'm with Carol. SB stays up way too late at night and gets crabby. But, we do have a daily thread we all post news in. Mmmm, I can taste that catfish now... Yummy!

Been cool and cloudy here today. My bones say it's gonna rain. Sure wish it would get on with it...

Ok my brain isn't in gear....must be bed time...... i managed to post on Mondays thread instead of todays!!

too lazy to type it all again so i will cut and paste:Coopwink:

lol that'll be the stuff that Christopher was describing he had at Houston airport....... his first taste of the US ....might have know it would be something like that!!

Anyway just thought I would pop in and let you know he has now been state-side for about 10 days and is just loving everything about it.... including the 90 degree heat slight difference from Orkney's 50 if it's a hot summers day LOL

Youngest kids have got over his leaving but are looking forward to him coming home!!

apart from that nothing much happening here....important app with andrew tomorrow about his feet a his mid foot apears to have dislocated! think we may be heading for surgery! but more on that when i know more...his feet are just yukky

Lol, I didn't read today's message from Julie so replied to yesterday's!

Thanks, BD, haven't seen my neighbor to tell him to cut the switch at night and also I'll let him know about the increased chemicals. They are SOO annoying neighbors!

I STILL haven't done the changing of the clothes. My stomach wasn't feeling so good today so spent a lot of time laying down reading. If it still doesn't feel right in the morning, I'm going to have to cancel my trip out to mom's.

I just dug up a bunch of black-eyed Susan plants from my front bed and put them in some long windowbox liners to take out to mom's one caregiver. She requested some. Hope they adjust to her yard. I'm sure they will, as they're very hardy plants. But boy, what suckers to dig up!!!

Okay, y'all wanted pictures of Pam's puppy...finally got some...he's HUGE!!!

The little Jack Russel is Daisey, Mandy is the black Lab. She failed puppy school with both of them. Duke is the big MONSTER taking up most of the camera space.

Julie, glad to hear that Chris is settling in and doing well. He hasn't had HOT yet. That hits in Late July-Sept. LOL Liz

Nice pictures, Liz. What a pretty dog!
