More than 400 people were killed and an unknown number were missing after a typhoon struck the southern Philippines, causing flash floods and landslides and driving tens of thousands from their homes. I wonder how much coverage the American media will give us about this since there's been plenty of natural disasters which occured in far-away places that got little coverage in the U.S.
