The divers exploring a 'UFO-shaped' object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea say their equipment stops working when they approach within 200m.
Professional diver Stefan Hogerborn, part of the Ocean X team which is exploring the anomaly, said some of the team's cameras and the team's satellite phone would refuse to work when directly above the object, and would only work once they had sailed away.
He is quoted as saying: 'Anything electric out there - and the satellite phone as well - stopped working when we were above the object.
'And then we got away about 200 meters and it turned on again, and when we got back over the object it didn’t work.'

  • Object is raised about 10 to 13ft above seabed and curved at the sides like a mushroom
  • Hole is surrounded by an strange rock formation that expedition team can not explain
  • Stones are covered in something 'resembling soot' which has baffled experts
  • Divers say phones and some cameras switch off when close to the object

Looks like a crashlanded Millenium Falcon ;) , but it could indeed be some form of device or ship that gives of electromagnetical fields or radiation that temporarily disables electronics. :)

Interesting, I wonder if it could be a Soviet relic?

the Soviets pretty much used the Baltic sea (well, any sea in their empire) as a dumping ground, the Baltic was pretty heavily polluted.

Either way, that sea creeps me out.

Ya that's what the article was saying, I never knew that but I can see how it would be an easy dropoff for whatever they wanted.

I hope they can find out a way to get down and take better pictures or pull a piece up :)

A Swedish expedition team has found an unidentified object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, leaving some to believe it’s the remnants of an extra-terrestrial ship.

Scientists went off on a deep-water dive to debunk some theories about the underwater object, but were left with more questions than they had answers.

The divers found that the object was raised about 10 to 13 feet above the seabed, and curved in at the sides.

“First we thought this was only stone, but this is something else,” Ocean X team diver Peter Lindberg said in a press release.
