:terrified -> :yikes: -> :faint:

i'm actually going to have to think about this one before i post something, but it seems like it ought to be an interesting discussion.

..or maybe i just don't wanna go first :D

one of my biggest fears would be losing my job and/or having no money to pay bills, mortgage, etc. always freaked me out just thinking about it. it happens to people all the time.

also airplanes and heights. can't even go up an open flight of stairs without losing it.

Ditto. It gives me panic attacks just to think about it.

And honestly? I'm not a very big fan of the dark. It's not necessarily the dark; it's more the Things that could be in the dark.

I think everyone feels that way spidergoolash. It is so hard trying to make it in this world with out having to deal with money. Its for wonder how people can survive at all.

I am also very frightened of bees, wasps, yellow jackets. I see one around me I almost have a panic attack.

hehe... I second that. At night, I sometimes have this really stupid fear that some kind of murderer or creature is hiding under my bed, waiting to pop out and grab me, so I always have to litterally jump onto the bed when I turn in for the night.

Also, I am DEATHLY afraid of spiders, bees, hornets, wasps, moths, bats, and heights, but I'm cool with airplanes and flying. Like, if I were to just be standing on an open plank of wood that was 300 feet high, I'd freak out. If I'm enclosed but high up, like in an airplane, I'm not scared.
And oddly enough, I'm sort of freaked out by seaweed, and weird things in the sea...

Oh, yeah. Deep water freaks me out. Which is strange, because I'd dearly love to study deep ocean trenches. It's more being up on top of the water with all that depth under me.

oh, i too am deathly afraid of bees, wasps and hornets :(

rosey> i feel bad for younger people trying to buy a house nowadays. when we bought ours eleven years ago, at least it was reasonable. now it's out of control. around here you'll be spending at least $300K for a fixer-upper. it's just not right.

I'm scared of being poor and homeless, going down escalators and Winnie the Pooh... Winnie the Pooh one has a reason that I rather not share.

hmmmm... these are all real good

i don't like spiders, but i wouldn't say i'm *afraid* of them. and ****roaches, especially the big florida ones... let's just say i'd use a spray insecticide waaay before stepping on one. ccrrruuunch.

hm...

this is really hard. i don't normally fear things, but i do worry about some things. like being buried in my own disorganization, letting it get me in trouble... but i never get organized.

humph! i'll keep thinking, i'm sure there's a good one or two.

Hehe, yeah me too! (It's usually a really big hand though...) Theres a staircase thats really narrow and really steep outside my hallway, and I always think of the Exorcist when I pass by it at night, so I RUN into the hallway and my room and close the door real quick. I can just imagine that girl after me with a scary grin on her face!

Deep water, also. My grandmother has property out on Lake Travis and when we used to swim down there my sister and my cousins would tease me and say there were HUGE catfish and gars the size of aligators underneath me! :ticked:

But there probably is out by the dam!

Height. Scared of heights over here. Ladders kill me, I have to literally be drunk to climb up one, other wise my brain takes over and says "you're **** is gonna faaaaall". At least if I'm drunk my brains is thinking "you're **** is gonna faaaall no matter what you do, why not make it off a ladder this time?"

When I was really young, sunflowers scared me. We had a few growing on the side of our house, and I always thought it was going to suck me up and eat me when I walked passed it. "You're **** is gonna get suuuuuucked up!"

lol! Sunflowers! That's pretty funny.
I think the reason you were so scared of them when you were little, was simply because of the bigness of them (aren't they 6 ft. tall?) You're not the first person I've heard have that fear when they were little, though. :)

I am also scared of deep water. Even in the swimming pool. Since I am not an expert swimmer, but I am getting better. Practice makes perfect.

Also if I fly on an airplane I always pray before we take off and pray when we land...*thank you god...thank you god...*
