I am really curious to know why people decide to start forums nowadays. If you have one now, why did you decide to start it? Or if you use to have one, why did you start and then stop running one?

I used to have a forum many years ago for friends to chat on but over time it got tedious to manage and we moved onto other things. It was fun whilst it lasted, but it sure did take time to keep on top of.

So I created a forum back in ye-olde 2013 because I wanted to learn how to code in PHP. I created the website and launched it. I've since used the project to learn Object Oriented Programming and now also Server Side Swift.

It's not all bad.

I created my first forum in 2018. I was running a multi-author blog and I created a forum to let the bloggers discuss site-related issues, blogging ideas, and tips. However, the forum was short-lived. I created my current 10 months ago.

I love to create music. Websites give me a way to showcase my stuff. Anyway, I like forums specifically because I like conversations.

I love to create and build up a community and also be able to help people as well. Running a forum has given me the ability to do both of those things. Whilst forums are not as popular now as they used to be, there are still people out there who prefer to use a forum to interact and learn things and that is what I like to offer for those who still want to find those on a forum.
