After what he has done in his first year, definitely a tough call. I think it will depend greatly on what he does over the next 2 years. If they are more of the same, he is going to have a tough time. If they are able to get some stuff done though, which continues to grow the economy, have fair immigration reform (which seems like it will be tough... neither side will compromise at all), and opens up a bit to working with both sides, then yes he has a shot.

However, if immigration reform doesn't happen, or it is too extreme, economy becomes sluggish, etc. then he will have a very tough time being re-elected.

The threat of a crash is always looming. Bottom line, the buildup is toxic (much like before 1929). I don't know how Mr. Macho man will avert it.
