Have you had these side effects before? I asked about this during my ER visit and the doc said it was just breakthrough bleeding and side effects from the pill. I have NEVER had bleeding in between periods from the pill before and I am taking the same pill(I had some leftover from my insurance). I am taking ortho tri-cyclen LO....and now into the 2nd pack am having bleeding even though it's not time for my period...not a lot but enough to be irritating and wear a pad. I also have tender breasts. NEVER had these side effects before...did anyone else have these issues when taking the pill...how many packs do you have to take before it quits?

Any chance of pregnancy?

And if your husband is laid off, all 3 of you should qualify for Allkids medical. Your daughter will qualify regardless of income, and if you have no insurance you will qualify for womancare regardless of income. You can apply online and you will get a temp card in about a week, and so long as you have applied, you can see doctors who accept it.

Congratulations!

Mrs. Mom, you so silly! I don't think so, they took my blood and urine at the ER...please tell me they would have checked for pregnancy..or maybe they are that stupid...plus I took a test the other day and it was negative...nice thought though!

Not sure if they would check for it if they were looking for something else.

When I got preggers with #1 I bled a little at first. It's the egg implanting itself into the lovely lush lady lining.

I was on Yaz for almost a year. In the beginning I had breakthrough bleeding. And tender boobies. I think it was for 2 months. Then if I forgot a pill it would happen again.

My friend took Ortho and had your problems for 6 months. She switched to Yaz and is fine now.

ETA.....yes I/she knew about any risks taking Yaz. We both discussed it with our Doctors. This for the person who will slam me. Like she always slams me. Ok rant and thread hijacking over.

Who dat? :dunce:

I was on the pill, had some breakthrough bleeding and went to the doctor. I was 8 weeks pregnant! Oh and I was 40, you know when they say it's harder to conceive.

Hope that's not your situation (unless you want it to be).

I just started taking Ortho but it was to get rid of the excessive bleeding. If I miss a pill I get bleeding. Also my boobs have gotten slightly bigger and are super tender. Hope it works out ok for you!

ok, you peeps who were on it and pregnant have me doubting now....I took two pee tests and both were negative but who knows...now I have a call in to my regular ob/gyn...one I swiched to when we were on insurance...I have the pink card like Kathy says but still trying to get back on regular medicaid...I put a call in to the nurse and am waiting to talk to her to see if I should come in or not...I still think my body is just failing me but who knows? A baby would be a blessing but that makes me nervous since I have been eating ibuprofen lately like crazy for all my headaches and aches and pains...plus the meds they gave me in the ER the other night...I would worry about birth defects IF I were pregnant.
