Yesterday as picked up a newspaper from the local stand, I noticed that Saturday was the annual Gay Pride Parade. As I read it I chuckled. The person next to me was a movie regular I see her there all the freaking time (she's about 70ish). She asked "Anything new?" I told her without thinking, "I guess the GPP was yesterday." She then comments that she wishes they would have all stayed in California.

She then asks me my opinion (bad idea). I tell her that I have no problems with it, they do not hurt or bother me. She then says that god considers them an abomination. So I said "Oh, god said that huh?" She replies yes it's in the bible and I can show it to you. I then tell her that the bible was written by people. She says "Oh don't give me that, it was inspired by god!"

I think to myself who am I to say what is or what isn't inspired by god so I leave it at that. But I do wonder if god inspired the Spanish Inquisition, or those priest that rape little boys, or countless other atrocities.


So I figure I would ask you all what are your thoughts on this subject?

But do you have anything against gay people? Do you think they should all move to California?

I don't think they're all in California as I lived there once upon a time.....I've even seen some down south.....wearing Liberace clothes and rings....

Yeah, it doesn't bother me. Funny thing is, I actually wound up at this event last year with my daughter. It starts off as a festival in one of the local parks, then it forms into a parade. A very flamboyant parade. lol

The reason I was there was due to my daughter and I were yard saleing and I followed markers to a house that was opposite the park. We stopped at the yard sale I purchased an awesome "Theatre Parking Only" sign and we decided to check things out across the street.

Nobody has the right to judge other people..We are all people living in the same place..Be it be white people,gay people,mexican people,bi-racial people,see the pattern..We are ALL PEOPLE ...That being said I like all PEOPLE : )

I know we have at least one openly gay man in the Jewel forums. He has mentioned it on his own....and I am happy that we have a community that is open and doesn't care who is doing whom.

As long as people are cool and chill...we have no issues with them.

DEMAND a parade though....and you may find your juevos in your own hand.
