How many of you would be interested in having an AS only style CS tournament/scrimmage type thingy, on a Sunday evening? We do have a member with a server. We just need players.
Please post here if you are interested. I just want to get a head count. I'd like to limit this to AS people, only.
Finity> would it be cool to use your server if we got enough interest for this? Would it be possible to change the port setting so that we give the IP out via e-mail to the people who want to play, and you have the right to boot non AS players should they show up?

If we do it on a Saturday, I'd schedule it during the day as people tend to go out at night. I was thinking Sunday evening would be good as most people have either work or school, the next day.
Anyone even slightly interested should consider this. It's a lot of fun, IMHO, and it would be a great way to encourage us gamers at the Soup to share in something, together.

I'm getting DSL, soon, so I might even be able to host the server. I'm concerned with the bandwidth of 1.5 Mbits down and 256 Kbits up being a slight issue.

I've been playing every night, when I can. The best thing to do when on a modem is to try and play on as local a server as possible. This will buy you a little savings in latency.

Just put up a server and make a password and put it on the forums. Yes its that easy, it would help if you have a dedicated machine for this since its difficult setting a actual time for people to come play, that way people can come when they want.
