An open letter to a terrorist:

Well, you hit the World Trade Center, but you missed America.
You hit the Pentagon, but you missed America.
You used helpless American bodies, to take out other American bodies,
but like a poor marksman, you STILL missed America.

Why? Because of something you guys will never understand.
America isn't about a building or two,
not about financial centers, not about military centers,
America isn't about a place, America isn't even about a bunch of bodies.
America is about an IDEA.
An idea,
that you can go someplace where you can earn as much
as you can figure out how to, live for the most part,
like you envisioned living, and pursue Happiness.
(No guarantees that you'll reach it, but you can sure try!)

Go ahead and whine your terrorist whine,
and chant your terrorist litany:
"If you can not see my point, then feel my pain."

This concept is alien to Americans.

We live in a country where we don't have to see your point ...
But you're free to have one.

We don't have to listen to your speech ...
But you're free to say one.

Don't know where you got the strange idea that everyone
has to agree with you. We don't agree with each other in this country,
almost as a matter of pride. We're a collection of people that don't agree,
called States. Another idea, we made up on the spot.
We united our individual states to protect ourselves from tyranny in the world.

You CAN make it up as you go, when it's your country.
If you're free enough.

Yeah, we're fat, sloppy, easy-going goofs most of the time.
That's an unfortunate image to project to the world, but it comes of
feeling free and easy about the world you live in.
It's unfortunate too, because people start to forget that when you attack
Americans, they tend to fight like a cornered badger.
The first we knew of the War of 1812,
was when England burned Washington D.C. to the ground.
Didn't turn out like England thought it was going to,
and it's not going to turn out like you think, either.
Sorry, but you're not the first bully on our shores, just the most recent.

No Marquis of Queensbury rules for Americans, either.
We were the FIRST and so far,
only country in the world to use nuclear weapons in anger.
Horrific idea, nowadays?
Got news for you bucko, it was back then too, but we used it anyway.
Only had two of them in the whole world and we used 'em both.

Grandpa Jones worked on the Manhattan Project.
Told me once, that right up until they threw the switch,
the physicists were still arguing over whether the Uranium alone
would fission, or whether it would start a fissioning chain reaction that would
eat everything. But they threw the switch anyway,
because we had a War to win.
Does that tell you something about American Resolve?

So who just declared War on us?
It would be nice to point to some real estate, like the good old days.
Unfortunately, we're probably at war with random camps,
in far-flung places. Who think they're safe.
Just like the Barbary Pirates did, IIRC.
Better start sleeping with one eye open.

There's a spirit that tends to take over people who come to this country,
looking for opportunity, looking for liberty, looking for freedom.
Even if they misuse it.

The Marielistas that Castro emptied out of his prisons, were overjoyed to
find out how much freedom there was.
First thing they did when they hit our shores, was run out and buy guns.
The ones that didn't end up dead, ended up in prisons.
It was a big PITA then (especially in south Florida),
but you're only the newest PITA, not the first.

You guys seem to be incapable of understanding that
we don't live in America ... America lives in US!
American Spirit is what it's called.
And killing a few thousand of us, or a few million of us, won't change it.
Most of the time, it's a pretty happy-go-lucky kind of Spirit.
Until we're crossed in a cowardly manner,
then it becomes an entirely different kind of Spirit.

Wait until you see what we do with that Spirit, this time.

Five thousand plus arrive in heaven
As they pass through the gate,
Thousands more appear in wait

A bearded man with stovepipe hat

A man named Martin shouts out proud
"I have a dream!" and once he did
The Newcomer said, "Your dream still lives."

Groups of soldiers in blue and gray
Others in khaki, and green then say

From a man on sticks one could hear

A MESSAGE FOR BIN LADEN

Osama Bin Laden, your time is short; We'd rather you die, than come to court. Why are you hiding if it was in God's name? Your just a punk with a turban; a pathetic shame.

I have a question, about your theory and laws; "How come you never die for the cause?" Is it because you're a coward who counts on others? Well here in America, we stand by our brothers.

As is usual, you failed in your mission; If you expected pure chaos, you can keep on wishing' Americans are now focused and stronger than ever; Your death has become our next endeavor.

What you tried to kill, doesn't live in our walls; It's not in buildings or shopping malls. If all of our structures came crashing down; It would still be there, safe and sound.

Because pride and courage can't be destroyed; Even if the towers leave a deep void. We'll band together and fill the holes We'll bury our dead and bless their souls.

WOW,,,WHERE DO YOU FIT IN THERE CANADA

OK America! Here's the Plan!!!

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know; Hitler, Mussolini and the rest of them good old boys'. We will never "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides' most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if any anyway.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

After I read this...it upset me because it reminded me (and well it should) of so many things but...ESPECIALLY
9-11 and it makes me cry and care even more for our country - our men and women serving us - for whether you have a political argument against and about this "war" OUR PEOPLE are there ....there fighting and dying and that is a reality !!!! our children ....)

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in Search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range Of their suicide bombs.

I 'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law Instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave Marine Roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this:
I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who Have been humiliated in what amounts to a college hazing incident, Rest assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is Told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can Take it to the bank that I don't care

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a Prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax Dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," You can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you got it, I DON'T CARE!

By all means speak your mind. That is what BA is all about! With any luck, you will become a calmer person and not be so filled with rage.

Anger is one of our most primitive emotions, Lenny. Are you aware that feeling angry creates an adrenaline rush in our bodies and brains? This feeling overcomes you and you feel like Superman taking over the world. This “rage†keeps the adrenaline pumping and for most this is a great feeling and we want to keep feeling it so we stay in a semi-constant state of rage. It is like being drunk.

I detected anger in most of your posts, Lenny, which in moderation is a good thing. However, I feel that perhaps you are enjoying the adrenaline high of a rage-aholic! And that can be harmful in recovery.

AS a rage-aholic, you react to strong emotions such as feelings of fear, sadness, shame, inadequacy, guilt or loss, with rage. Raging is giving you a false sense of power. Rage sets up a neurochemical reaction in the brain that is addictive.

You seem to feed on expressing rage. Like the alcoholic, a rage-aholic is addicted to blowing up. This is usually caused by stuffing back real feelings and emotions until it builds up to the point that the rage-aholic snaps and goes crazy (Postal?) Stress of any kind can be a trigger. The “wrongs†of others and the want for revenge continually leads to rage. Rage is a shame based expression of anger.

That said I refuse to be an enabler. That’s how much I care!

Everything you posted lenny is TRUE. The only thing I object to is that you categorize EVERY Canadian, EVERY Italian, EVERY person that you feel is against the US in the same venue. Canadians, Italians, French, Irish, Scottish - we were ALL butchered to some degree. In my opinion, this is what those evil ****s WANT us to do - to break down every bit of civility between nations so that their hateful words, thoughts and deeds will prevail and they will reign. It is certainly a stress to live under, lenny. Living everyday in fear of some nutbar exploding a smart bomb or dirty bomb while you are traveling to work must really play havoc with your nerves. I know it would do me in! I would not want to leave the house.

It is more than likely just as frustrating to hear all those bleeding heart Liberals attacking the President when he is trying to keep America safe.

In my opinion, America is going to become even more in jeopardy if the Democrats are elected to lead the country. All of the radical Muslim leaders are going on air now and telling the American people to vote Democrat or else they will step up attacks. Like OK!
