What's new

AMERICA

Personally I feel the whole world is out against us, so if Lenny says anything bad about any country I am going to agree.

It is certainly a stress to live under, lenny. Living everyday in fear of some nutbar exploding a smart bomb or dirty bomb while you are traveling to work must really play havoc with your nerves. I know it would do me in! I would not want to leave the house.

It is more than likely just as frustrating to hear all those bleeding heart Liberals attacking the President when he is trying to keep America safe.

In my opinion, America is going to become even more in jeopardy if the Democrats are elected to lead the country. All of the radical Muslim leaders are going on air now and telling the American people to vote Democrat or else they will step up attacks. Like OK! If the radicals want the Democrats ruling the country, they are obviously aware that the Dems are going to be good in their bed! Think about it when you are out voting this Tuesday!

Well truth is I don't think about it too often, too many other things to worry about. Personally I will vote for anyone who will be harsh on the terrorist and the rest of the people of the world that try to pull **** on us. If Bush would just bring on troops home and start using our 20,000 nukes on our enemies our problems would quickly decline.

Come on people lets be the only nation to use nukes twice .

Damned MAN - figures you'd just pick up in the middle of a thread like that - who the hell knows WHAT you men are talking about from minute to minute? It' all good to YOU as long as your train of thought hasn't been broken.

Be in a man's shoes one day and you will see its just not as simple as you make it.

You begin to die the day you are born.

There should be no stress to living because the end result is always the same. It's just a matter of hitting the right time.

Don't let a smart bomb worry you, becuase you won't even realize it's hit you before it's all over.

Worry more about right here and now.

The past and the future are concepts perpetuated to keep people in line and worried. There is only the now.

Yea if you think about your death it will just consume you, and eventually ruin you. It will come but it can be sooner or later. One thing that is universal is you can't predict it, or stop it. So just live your life and don't think about it.

There are too many things to be worried about - sure - a dirty bomb could strike and as Slack noted we'd never know it hit. I worry about my family, not for myself. How would they handle it if they survived through an attack and what would the world hold for them? Would they be in pain? Would they be afraid? That's too much to bear.

That's true. I remember sitting on the front stairs and listening to my Aunt and parents talking about something that was happening during the "Cold War". I was frightened to death because I had heard WW II stories and was afraid that it was happening to us in our home town.

Then again,I thought "guerrilla warfare" meant that the gorillas were warring in the jungle. I can remember asking how anyone knew what the great apes were doing in the jungle and what they were fighting about. I guess I watched too much Tarzan!

Well this may slightly ease your mind... it's a theory I've been working on for a while actually. My friend and I developed it in college. It centers around the concept of perception and existence/being self-aware.

We say things exist because we can physically see/touch them or can conceptually understand them right?

Well our idea is that when you die the Universe ends and conceptually it does. You are no longer there to perceive it's existence, nor can you touch or feel it. Everything is blacked out in an instant and the universe begins anew...

It's also how I theorize about deja vu.

So you don't have to worry about your family any longer because they don't exist. They were a trick of perception in a universe created by your mind.

You are the center of the Universe.

Nice little ego boost eh?

sounds more like a story line for a new tv series,,the slack files

If only I COULD live like that, Slack.

Listen I live in New York and I never think about terrorism, I have faith in the government that they will stop it. I know some people will call me crazy but hey at least I am not sitting in my home chewing my nails. Don't worry you will be fine.

Wow thats really deep.

Worrying about if it is going to happen doesn't solve anything. If it does happen, worrying didn't stop it so it was pointless to waste your time worrying; if it doesn't happen you just spent your entire life worrying about something that didn't happen.
