An AMBER Alert has been issued in Illinois

I can't imagine having a 11 month old and a 3 week old :faint:

And by two baby daddies..............nice.

Sorry to say, but I agree with canadia. :pout:

IF she killed that baby then I hope she gets life in prison....that is so sad when there are so MANY people who would have gladly adopted the child and loved it and made the child their own....SMH.

Don't they still have those programs where you can give up your baby at hospitals or wherever within a certain amount of time (ya know.............so you don't kill them)? :bee:

Clicked on the link in post 15 and this was the headline:

UPDATE: Baby Mia found alive in rural Stark County

No other info, but that sounds good to me!

The story I quoted only came out around the time I posted. I wanted to find the story where the grandfather was talking and I found the update instead. My thoughts were exactly the same as yours before seeing the update.

I'm praying it was a tragic accident and not a PPD or shaken baby killing, if the story ends that way.

Baby Mia Graci Thompson was reportedly found alive on a gravel road in rural Stark County, Illinois.

Police reported the cancellation of the Amber Alert for Mia at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 27 – nearly 12 hours after the baby was reportedly abducted from the back seat of a car at the Toulon Post Office.

Police said the baby was taken to a hospital to be examined

:faint: TELL ME she did not dump that sweet baby on a gravel road and drive away.

I looked up her facebook...all I can say is wow what a sweet little baby! Glad Mia is ok. What could have been going through her head to dump her baby? My heart is breaking for them all! Kendra Meaker is the moms name!

I know hospitals are safe drop off points for leaving children. Is there an age limit? Is this something that's not publicized so people take other actions?

It varies by state.

The law in IL:

Safe havens:

HOSPITAL
POLICE DEPARTMENT
FIRE STATION
EMS PROVIDER

You can leave your baby, up to 30 days old, with a staff member at any hospital, fire station, police station or emergency medical services provider in Illinois.

I thought about this alot today at work (while holding a 8 week old girl)

Post Partum can be REALLY BAD for some people.

(not an excuse but want to put that out there)

She's facing multiple charges. She did in fact take her out to a gravel road and just left her there :pout:
