Well this is really cool. A friend told me about this and I had to check it out! It's a Napster type download thing, but not quite. I think it's better, and I'll tell you why-
One feature that I relaly like is, if a download stops because a user goes offline or something, you can continue it from a different user! It's cool. So there will be no "incomplete files"!!!
Another feature is for me it downloads faster. Not like bytes per second, but it just seems so much shorter. No transfer errors or anything like that. It's really impressive. And it's a SMALL downloading file!!! 500 KB!!! Seriously, don't take my word for it! Go to http://www.audiogalaxy.com and check it out!

Never heard of it...but I don't like scour. Used to use it and it's really crappy (to me though). I like audiogalaxy. Napster sucks now, cuz the other person can cancel it and I get that a lot (sometimes at around 98%)...
Audiogalaxy is reliable. I've had to reboot twice while downloading a song from it, and when I got back on, I ran Audiogalaxy, waited like 20-30 seconds and it continued the download (one was at 84% and the other at 22%)! Really cool!

What do the users have to do with it? I'm not saying don't use Napster...that's retarded. I just like AG much better and use it more often than Napster. And by the way, I haven't seen you on Napster in ages...why not?

The reason the user base is important is because the songs they have shared are the ones that you can DL. If there is a small user base there is a small quantity of songs that are available for download.

Mother Should I Trust The Government - Pink Floyd
Well lets use Everclear for an example. I looked up Everclear on AG and there are 10 different pages, none of which are repeated songs (some are, but only because it's a different version. Like Santa Monica has the regular and an acoustic version...)! Metallica, well, I can't remember but it's probably around 20.
Whereas Napster limits you to only people who are online (a small percentage of them). AG lists all the songs, you find the one you're looking for, click it, and it'll download from the closest user

woah, I typed in 'Pig', one of my favorite bands, and it actually sorted the results by artist, so I didn't get 10,000 Dave Matthews Band results. This is a cool new toy, thanks for the heads up.

I've been using AudioGalaxy for some time now and have had the opportunity to download some really old songs that Mama just loves...and then there are the more contemporary bands and artists too : NO LIMIT
The SA bandwith is sadly lacking and yet I comfortably download MP3's whilst multi-tasking without any probbies whatsoever. If you have not yet, try this excellent feature. Well worth it, indeed.
