Avoid spammers

How do you tackle spammers in your forum, X-Zone4u gets lot of spammers every day. But due to email verification and few plugins their post is being blocked.

So what are all the measures you take to handle it.

I use goodbye spammer on my forum.

We use a special number feature that keeps all spammers out. If they crack my code, they can crack anything.

Basically if you get a normal bot spammer then you can usually block it with a good captcha and security questions as well as e-mail verification.
