Both young ladies are indie artists, Lorde being the more recent of the two. Lorde admittedly, has so far been the most successful out of the two with Royals reaching the top ten of the major music markets worldwide - but who do you prefer/think is the better artist out of the two, whether you like them or not?

Birdy's popular hit was the cover of Bon Iver's Skinny Love, taking a more folk acoustic approach to her music.

I have enjoyed Birdy's music for quite a while now, whereas I cannot say the same for Lorde - especially Royals. :duh: But that's just my music taste - who do you prefer?
