Let me start off my saying that I go WAY OVERBOARD at Christmas...that being said, I need some ideas from you mommies and daddies on some ideas for my kids.

My daughter will be 5, so far I know that I will get her some Lalaloopsy dolls (she already has 7 and "wants" them all), she wants an "ugly doll" from Toys R Us, someone mentioned the Doggie Doo game (she would love that)... other ideas?

My son is 2 1/2. I know that we will get him a bike with training wheels but am at a loss for other ideas....

Thanks!!

I have dd5 dd4 and ds almost 2 1/2; girls are asking for barbies and polly pockets, a baby doll stroller and silly bands and fun slippers. For my son I asked for a tool set and fun slippers

Oh, I like the slippers idea! Thanks! My dd5 is going to get a Nintendo DS from my mom so I will get her a few games. I think I am going to get her a camera, too. Her birthday is 12/29 so I have to shop for Christmas and b-day. My son is the hard one....he would be in heaven if I got him a doll stroller, but my husband wouldn't allow it!

get him a shopping cart then. Saw one in the toysrus ad that was a shopping cart and then attached to the front of it was a cozy coup (just the like shopping cart/cars that are at the grocery stores!)

When my son was 2 1/2 he started really getting into matchbox cars and trains. We got him a train table set so he could do trains and cars on the train table. He still plays with it every day a year later.

Oh, good idea! Do they sell those at Toys R Us or where is the best place?

my boys were born first ( then their sister) they had a coooool basic grocery cart from fisher price--we had it for all 4 kids

my boys ( now 19/20) LOVED the fisher price castles and pirate ships--I guess it would compare to imaginex now-a-days

they played with those along side their other toys--like building a matchbox course through the castle or brio town around it--etc..we still have them!!

my boys also LOVED dress up clothes--anything with a hat--cowboy--policeman, fireman, pirate, army , construction etc..

Awww....I miss buying toys. :pout: My kids want cash. Not very fun!

That being said, dress up clothes! :giggles: What's more fun that crazy costumes & wigs? :)

DS2 is getting the Fisher Price Imaginex Samurai castle, matchbox cars and a Fisher Price garage for the matchbox cars, a bike, that's the biggest stuff (its' also his birthday 9 days before so he gets spoiled in Dec).
DD4 is getting barbie **** (yay.), My Little Ponies, dress up accessories like chapstick (maybe gloss), some DVDs.
I'd also like to get an outdoor thing for the summertime now that we will (assuming here) have a fenced yard.

DS4 (almost 5) will be getting some Matchbox wall tracks
Probably some Imaginext stuff and not sure what else yet.

DS7 (almost 8) will be getting a boombox and some CD's, maybe a digital camera too. Probably some other crafty stuff as well. She says she wants the Lalaloopsy dolls but I think she's too old for them. She also says she wants a barbie house but those are so $$$ and she hardly played with her dollhouse she got when she was younger...

PFFFFFF how many other people here have kids that won't stop asking for that BULLSHIT Disney Princess castle that costs $150?!?!

I have twin girls who will be 5 the end of this month. I don't think there is a single thing on Leah's Christmas/Birthday list that isn't Littlest Petshops. I know 5 Below has some of the medium size sets for $5 right now, these are around $12 at Target. Laney also really likes Strawberry Shortcake. They got a Playmobile dollhouse last year, which they've played with a lot. That was only around $30 at Farm and Fleet.

When ds was 3/4 he really liked the Imaginext Batman stuff. He had the Dragon Castle too. He still plays with them sometimes and he'll be 8 in a few months. He's gonna be my hard one to shop for this year though.

I don't think that Peyton has seen this yet so she hasn't asked yet. She has enough other somewhat expensive stuff on her list so I doubt I'd get it for her as it is.

Mine mine and mine! I still haven't caved. They play with their little dolls (polly pocket sized) and those related dollhouses every day. When DD6 was 2 I bought her the Cinderella Castle set from WDW. I couldn't believe how much it cost $80+ - but it has been played with nearly every day for the last 4 years.
I probably would have caved this year, but they asked for Dsi's too so we need to see.

Oh yeah my kids are also into Squinkies - which are one of the stupidest things ever invented. But I got them free from Kohls with the $10 coupons so that is covered.

They also have lots of Barbies, Ponies, Polly Pockets, and Playmobile. Gotta get some more coupons!

I get a LOT of stuff from Kohls for Christmas!! I didn't think of Squinkies - I told DD don't even THINK about asking for any new toy sets. She has a ton of stuff that doesn't go together, like 3 My Little Ponies, one Polly Pockets set,one Strawberry Shortcake....so I told her she needs to build on what she has, not start new ****ty sets. >>Bad mom<<

There's a cute toy store here in Kenosha: http://www.downtowntoystore.com/

I'm going to get some things shipped to my niece and nephew. I'm thinking this for one (to burn off some energy):

I think my niece who loves crafts and bling will love this:

I got her this set to make her own headbands for her birthday and she loved it:

Anyway I know you can get this stuff at places like TRU, but I rather support a local toy store. :)

Pretty Princess board game....
I always give this as an idea for little girls cause my daughter LOVED it and it is fun to play.
The best part was always watching dh play and wear all the jewelry!
