This is the BEST online FPS shooter, in my opinion. I'd love to see two things happen here, at the Soup. Someone should put up a CS server for Soupers. We should also get a group of people who want to play, sometime. Perhaps do a little scrimmaging.

Another thing is for people to toss up a list of CS servers that you know of.

Finity, I think you'd enjoy this. DD, if you don't have CS on that laptop of yours for Sunday, stick it on there. Wonder if you could set up a CS server for us to bang away on on Sundays?

It is forbidin for me to set up a server otherwise i would do it. I am all for CS i love the game. Hmm me thinks i will go play now. I could set up a server ocationaly for a little fun but i just cant have a continuous server. anyway CS here i come.

I am not sharing my favorite server IPs, thank you. It's crowded enough as it is!

Blah, I don't even play CS much anymore anyway. I guess that's what happens when someone has been playing since August of last year, during the week Beta 1 came out... *sigh*
 
same here pepsi.. the game's been sucking more and more w/ every beta.. beta 4 was the best.. 5 and 6 made it worse and worse..
 
And I guess Beta 7 was what really jammed it up my nose like a sadistic clothes hanger-wielding, Egyptian mummifier.

...

Or something.

Lately I've been playing a lot of multiplayer Rune and Freespace 2.

Counter-Strike version 1.0 is now out. The game has finaly left the beta stages. I am downloading it as i type. I will have to play for like hours after my midterm tomarrow.

sure, ill work on setting up a server on my other computer in here....if you feel like offering any advice, or wanna help me test it and whatnot, then lemme know...ill look into it later this week.

Let's keep this thread going for generic CS comments and avoid starting new ones.

To answer your question, Icky, HL is about $20 USD. It's definitely worth it as you not only get HL as a great game, but you also have the ability to play CS. I will even comment that CS runs rather well on a good 56k connection...much better than Quake II/Q3A IMHO. Definitely worth playing.

For those of you who really like CS, they are selling it in the stores. I was so impressed with the work on this game, that I went out and bought a copy so that the CS developers would get some revenue for their hard work. You get a CD with the minimal shell for Half-Life and the CS and other various mods. You also get a Half-Life related mission to play through. The nice thing is that you get a nice little manual for the game loaded with help, tips, links, and pages for notes. If you have Half-Life, already, you could install this program, twice and use the Half-Life code for one of them to be able to play over the WON servers.
