When you sign up to forums on the internet, do you use the option on them to hide your email from other members in those forums?

I personally don't generally worry about it. I just don't use my "personal" address that has my name in it.

I hadn't really thought much about it to bother, but was signing up to a forum the other day and when i seen the option to hide it, it got me thinking wither i should or not.
