Does anyone remember when hoodies were called kangaroo jackets?

Som epeople still call them pedal pushers. hmm

And earth shoes, I think I called them jesus shoes. If we are tlaking about the same thing.

Anyone ever hear of or remember a powder drink that you mix with water called "Keen"? It was kinda like Cool Aid but more tart. It came in a glass jar. I AM aging myself...

Loved Keen, first time I tasted it was in 1971 in Pittsburgh Pa. Can't get it here. Is it still in the States? Can't think of any toys I enjoyed as a child. My favorite birthday gift was a "cowboy" outfit complete with chaps and a white "cowboy" hat. I was given a holster set by an uncle, but the guns were confiscated as Mother did not approve of promoting violence. I had to walk around with my hands in the holster and because I am double jointed in both thumbs, I would pull back my thumbs and pretend to shout. So deprived! I felt like Roy Rogers when I rode my horse, man, how I thought I was something else strutting around with my gunless holster and wearing that "cowboy" hat!.

I haven't seen Keen in many years - we had it as kids in the '60's. It's kind of funny how there are things unavailable in Canada that we have here. My cousin loves Frosted Mini Wheats cereal. I don't know if you can buy it now in Canada, but we used to "smuggle" it to her when we visited!
