I have been a victim of account hack in the past and it's how I got to know about making use of Two factor Authentication to fully secure my account. Ever since then, none of my accounts have been hacked.

I always try to use two factor authentication. luckily I haven't been hacked or anything but I know friends who have and have lost their instagram accounts and things so I am always trying to be as safety conscious online as possible so that I don't get into the situation when I get hacked. I combine two factor authentication with using strong passwords managed with a password manager to be as secure as possible.

Where I remember I do use 2 factor authentication as I like to be secure online but sometimes I find that it isn't an option so then I just try to generate a really strong password. I think 2 factor authentication needs to be compulsory to any website with a log in.
It is very important for you to make use of two-factor authentification on all your social media accounts and even your banking applications in order to stop having someone to hack your account and steal your money from you. I'll always have 2FA enabled on all of my account.
