Does music make your mood better/make you creative?

Music is more than just a motivator. It is my life and is what moves me daily. There isn't a day in my life that I don't have music. I may have my moments that I don't listen but that would be when I sleep, when I sleep, and when I sleep. No matter where I am, I have music. Even when I am not within earshot of a song, I am hearing something in my head. It runs through my blood and I can pick up a song's rhythm and beat within seconds. I play piano by ear and by notes, so this makes it much easier for me to truly feel a song. Vocals runs in my family and I am related to the renowned Mario Lanza. Does music make my mood better, or help me be more creative then? Absolutely, yes, it does.

I know they use classical music sometimes in mental hospitals.
Really? I wonder if that is that is actually therapeutic for some people. I think it might make me feel worst. LOL Just kidding there is definitely some great classical music that I can totally see being therapeutic.

I'm not exactly sure, but it was when I was on Unit 3 of the hospital - which is for depression. And sometimes they'd play some Michael Jackson tunes, and the other people would do a dance. Others would just ignore the music.

Of course music can affect your mood. happy hardcore, trance, and vocal trance pretty much the only music i listen to, and the only music that can make me happy.

I'm definately more creative with music in my ears. I cannot write without it actually. I am avoiding 2 particular songs at the minute because they gave me the idea for my forum world so until I get hosting I have to avoid them or the bunnies will get meh :X3:

I know I work out even harder when a good song pops on my iPod. It really gets me moving.

Music is a huge part of my life. Playing music keeps me going, can cheer me up, pump me up for a work out and so on. Music can also remind me of the past, good and bad.

When I have music playing, I'm more creative because it pumps me up, and motivates me - how about you? Is music a huge part of your life?

I know it is with me.

The same here. It's very motivating.

Used to listen to music when working, but then I noticed it's distracting me. I can't just listen to it, I'll find myself following the lyrics, listening to the orchestration etc. So, instead of being something that relaxes me, it will be just something else I am focusing on. Right now I listen to music when I walk or drive, otherwise I want peace and quiet.

I love to get new tunes everyday. What's your favorite music?
Balads (like "Nothing Else Matters"), some songs of Eminem, BSB, some Chinese music and everything that sounds well (to me). Nothing special or concrete.

Then you can listen only some melodies (instrumentals)?

Music is definately my creative muse. There is a huge difference in my quality of writing for my forum and novels/articles if I don't have music as opposed to when I do.

Sometimes if I'm not listening to music, its harder to think of new things to come out with.

I'm definitely not good at multitasking, so whenever I'm writing something (from a blog post to a simple post), coding, or doing anything where I have to turn on my brain, I don't listen to music.

When I do listen to music, though, it does change my mood. Everyone's got their own way to listen to music they like; I prefer to listen to albums rather than different songs from different artists, so when I do get time to listen to some tunes, I make sure I have enough time to listen to an album entirely.
