I personally feel that dogs make better companions than cats because they embrace they conception of a companion more than a cat. Now, I've had cats, a couple of them and I could never bond ad much with them as I could and can with my dog.

i am fond of any animals EXCEPT dogs. And the only reason for this is because i have a history of dogs chasing me. From a dogs point of view, im just a bowl of dog food on legs which is why they cant resist chasing me.

:rofl :rofl

Ironic that when I said I wasn't a fan of dogs, you said they are awesome.  :question

Honestly, I believe dogs are great. They can sense our moods too sometimes.

As for cats....well.....they are soft and pretty and it's fun to have them around.

But they are not great companions

It depends on the person I guess, some will find cats to be better companions but for me, I would go with dogs as well. They just seem to be much better

I like both of these animals, the dog, and cat but my favorite animal is cats. Cts are smarter than dogs and even if these animals lose much hair then dogs I still love to hold them in my arms.
It is also easier to take care of a cat than a dog because the dog needs to get out and make their needs....and I do not have time for this!

I believe a cat person would beg to differ with your assertion because he or she is more comfortable and bonded nicely with a cat than a dog. I think everything is dependent on the preferences of any individual to any animal in question. I have seen those that prefer piglet more than any other animal as pets, so individual differences plays a huge role in this situation.

Personally, I'm a dog dude as well. I feel more comfortable and relaxed with dogs more than any other animals as home pets. I hardly resist the urge not to go touch the head of any dog I see because I enjoy the expression on their faces when their head is being caressed. Below is a picture of my lovely Billy. He is cute right? FB_IMG_1505791359447.jpg

I am more of a dog-lover than a cat-lover. I grew up having pet dogs and I also grew up seeing cats as my "enemies." I don't like cats not because they're not cute (THEY ARE) but because I am not that comfortable being around them and holding them. They just look and feel so soft and always about to scratch your face anytime. They're soooo chill that you can't even enjoy having them around (FOR ME). On the other hand, dogs are very, very playful compared to cats.. in my opinion. Also, they're pretty great pets to have at home because they know how to protect their owners and their home.

No! They are equally great companion. Maybe the breed of your cat is just way different from your liking, but there are certain breeds of cats that just as great as dogs. You just have to search for what breed fits perfectly in your lifestyle.

From what I have heard before from my friend, she said that dogs are loyal with their masters while cats are more loyal to the house. I like both animals, but I really can't have any of them. I'm allergic to cats and I kinda have a phobia with dogs (dog bite scares me). Anyways, whenever I see cats or dogs from afar or on pictures or such, I have this nagging feeling that I want to have one. pffft!

I'm a cat person. I have a persian cat who sleeps all day. I can really say dogs are more interactive. but my cat makes me feel comfortable. She love cuddles(when she is awake). she sometimes just ignore me when I'm calling her name unlike dogs who gets ecstatic when their owner calls them. But I guess they love us like their own family too and vice versa.

I don't know we have 3 dogs here in the house and I'm not playing them.Maybe because,I was bit by a street dog before. The doctor gave me rabies vaccine. He told me that I'm not allowed to drink beer for 4 months that's why i don't like dogs hahaha. And one more thing, few dogs been chased me before.I just run as fast as I can.Hahaha
