Well, after saying, "That's my cake?..............oh....." after school, she seemed to like it by the time we got to dessert. 
She reacted similarly to some of her gifts, so she's just kind of bratty. Probably like a lot of 8yo's. We practiced "faking" positive reactions to crappy gifts before her friend party. "Ohhhhhh! What a LOVELY spatula! Thank you SO MUCH!" :lol: And then had a lengthy discussion on how it's always best to be gracious, even if you don't care for something, because someone took the time to think of you & bring you a gift. Teeters on lying, so it was a difficult conversation because we have so many lying issues with her.

awesome job!!! what recipes did you use for the chocolate? when i made mine with the all chocolate roses the issue i had was the frosting was so dry and did not flow as well as i would have liked.
