How often do you eat with hands? Do you like eating with hands or do you strictly avoid eating with hands? Have you tried eating foods like rice and bread with hands? Well, in our culture eating with hands is considered the best way to eat foods (you will have to wash your hand thoroughly, though). I sometimes eat with hands.
I wouldn't say I never eat with my hands as I have been known to in the past for finger foods such as biscuits, sandwiches, burgers, fries and the like. I refuse to eat anything messy with my hands at all and will always ensure I use cutlery when eating messy foods that I do not class as finger foods.
Over here in my country, there are some local dish you eat with your hands. Dishes like eba ( also known as garri) with any soup of your choice. There are also other dishes besides eba such as starch, fufu, semovita and so on. We tend to call them swallow in general because while you use your hands to eat them, you don't shew them, you swallow it.
Same here eating with hands is our culture. More like a timeless tradition. I was told it offers surprising digestive benefits like touching your food activates nerve endings, promoting enzyme production. Hopefully they're true. Eating with hands make me full easily and I can do mindful eating with it
In my community, people still eat with hand. It is considered normal especially when you are enjoying local delicacies. But it is not hygienic and proper to eat with hands while spoons is available. I think eating with hands will be permissible only when we don't have options
I eat with my hands if the food is not hot or needs it. Some foods require a spoon and fork. It is also convenient to eat using my hands, It is safer too.
