I read somewhere that you can eat them... Not to get high, but as a food..

I still don't understand who can look at a mushroom and think...hmm, it'd be a good idea to eat that fungus.

Then again, I can't eat escargot.

I don't eat snails... lol I like mushrooms, though... I don't like Portabello mushrooms... I do like regular ones though.

Take one to work and get someone to try it, if they live your good to go

Not me I'm allergic to mushrooms

but I so like me some mushrooms and I'll eat them sometimes, but I get sick shortly after.

I wonder if my boss is allergic to mushrooms...... that would be a fun science experiment... Make a Mushroom Quiche or something, and see how long it takes her to break out... :D

She's allergic to some other foods, so I guess it COULD be a possibility, right?

I don't break out I just get sick for a few hours, feels like a 2-3 hour case of the worst flu and my eyes won't focus.

I don't have any other food allergies

Seriously I'd avoid eating them. There are so many varieties of mushrooms and some are so similar to others that it is easy to mistake a dangerous one for a safe one. I just don't eat them period. I don't do fungus.

In the movies when people are stranded in the wilderness you see them start foraging for mushrooms. Bad idea. Putting aside the danger issue, they really don't have much caloric value and looking for safe mushrooms is a waste of valuable energy in survival situations. You're better off eating bugs and snails.......:lol:
 
I like escargot, but I wouldn't eat those mushrooms if you paid me.

I wouldn't eat escargot if you paid me. I make it a point not to eat anything that leaves a trail....
