Ok, for those over 21 here (or those of you under 21 who like to drink) what is your favorite alcoholic drink. I am always looking for new things to try. Right now i am really enjoying margaritia's.

Oh and what is the best beer, so far ive discoverd that fosters may be australian for beer, but it still sucks, and pacifico is actually fairly good. Other opinions would be good

My two favorite drinks are a screwdriver (simple, yet sophisticated), and a frozen lemonade with either Stoli or Absolut.

The lemonade is good for those days when you want to cool off, or are vacationing in the tropics. A screwdriver is good for just relaxing at a bar with friends.

As far as beer goes, I've found the best ones are Mexican beers. And I don't mean Corona, which is equivalent to drinking horse ****. Dos Equis is usually good, and Pacifico isn't bad at all.

My favorite, however, is Killian's.

whiskey sour

blue drinks

strong berry drinks (some bartender invented it for me. i dont remember what was in it. cranberry, lots of vodka, and i dunno what else)

Wine!!! My favorite right now is Merlot. I generally like reds better than whites:)

So far i feel the same way, although ive only tried one red, and one white, but the white was too sweet for me.

Wine is definitely my favorite, but when you're just starting to drink alcohol, your palate for that kind of stuff is just starting to develop, so I would suggest waiting a few years before getting really serious about wine, unless you're super gung-ho and want to take classes and all that.

I like Bailey's over ice...

Cider is very nice too - Woodpecker or Blackthorn (if you can find it) are the best I've found.

I don't drink beer often, although a Dos Equis Amber with Mexican food is really good.

Oh, and Guinness :)

My favorite mixed drinks are Vodka Tea, Vodka & Tonic and Rum & Coke.

I am a big fan of cider especially Woodpecker and Magner's.

As far as beer goes Newcastle Brown Ale is definitely my favorite, but I am a fan of Harpoon I.P.A, Bass Ale, Caffrey's Irish Amber and Guiness (check out the the new draught bottles).

I've always found Guiness to be a bit too hearty for my tastes. It's a little heavy, very yeasty, and a tad bitter at first taste.

I will admit that the taste grows on you after a pint or two, though. ;)

I prefer something a little lighter, which is why I prefer Killian's.

Just giving Prox some options. :)

We can drink legally at 18 here

ewwwwwwww@cider. Cider is what the real drunks drink in the UK lol

I love white wine, but I can't bear anything sweet. When it comes to wine there are some easy rules: stay away from anything German and anything sweet! Australian Chardonnay is usually a good bet - thats my favourite. Californian Shiraz is good if you're into red. I don't know what the red wine was that we were drinking tonight, but I alredy know I have a headache ...

When it comes to spirits, I like gin (Bombay Sapphire to be picky), vodka and Jack Daniels, but I can't drink any spirits neat, they have to be with a mixer.

I also like the ready mixed drinks you can get. The faves here being stuff like Smirnoff Ice, Tequila Red Square, Archers Aqua - nice and easy to drink.

Merlot is very good! I like red better than white but my head can handle white or blushes better.

I used to liek pina coladas the best but not so much anymore. Wine coolers are pretty good though

:puke:

I'd like to be able to drink it straight, but being the wuss I am, I just can't.

I'd also like to be able to drink Merlot, because it's v good wine, but it gives me a headache, and sometimes, if I'm not in the mood for red wine, I find I have trouble actually swallowing it.

I have noticed though that I feel drunk far quicker when I drink wine than when I drink anything else ....

Dan> if you like Killians you should try Caffrey's Ale which is the type of beer that Killians was based on, plus it's not made by Coors.

I used to Newcastle brown all the time. Of course, it tasted better then. It's a fact that Dog (which is what NBA is known as locally - when I worked in a bar people used to order a bottle of Dog) doesn't travel that well and so always tastes better near Newcastle. Since I grew up just 30 miles from there, I got to taste some of the best - when I moved 300 miles south when I went to uni, I definitely noticed the difference. I also noticed that when I was 18, it was very hard to buy NBA in a pub in Newcastle, because very few of them were run by Scottish and Newcastle Breweries. Odd isn't it? lol
