For those adults out there that smoke cigarettes, what are your favorite smoking brands? Do you buy a lot of packs every week? Have you ever tried to quit before[how did that go?].

My favorite smoking brand would have to go to Newports, but I like Kools as well. But, how about you? If you don't smoke, that's cool.

I make my own. Cig taxes in NY are re-fricken-diculous. The minimum is like $10/pack if you're lucky for an off brand. Since I'm right on the PA border, I buy a pack of Marlboro every once in a while in PA for $5-$6. They're my favorite followed by Winston.

Making my own it costs me about $10/carton after the inital investment of $50 for the machine.

So you buy the tobacco and buy joint papers? When I was in the mental hospital before, one of the ladies I knew did that. It always gave me a buzz I was like "WTF. this **** strong!"

I've smoked for years and it was generally marlboro lights or camle lights.
I've made my own by rolling them as well as the injection machines that would fill empty tubes, they even have a filter on them.
I haven't had one in about 2 months now, although I want one every other day or so.. :(

What sparked your decision to quit? Don't give in now though, once you start back again, it'll be so much harder to quit. When you did quit though, did you get a lot of cravings to eat?

We get the tubes like Brandon mentioned. There really isn't much difference between the ones you make youself with the injector machine and regular 'class As'. I will say most Class A's taste a little better but hte price difference is just too much to ignore. I've done the rollie thing and man those are strong as hell but Bugler was my favorite tobacco. Once in a blue moon I'll buy myself a pouch or can if I'm real short on cash.

The funny thing is I've noticed myself smoking a helluva a lot more since we moved to the cheaper stuff. I'm not sure if it's a psychological thing ie they're so cheap so who cares or if the tobacco I'm using doesn't have a whole lot of nicotine in it.

A buddy of mine who is the one who turned me on to the tubes and injectors said he hasn't bought a bag of tobacco in months. He and his girlfriend are smoking the ecigs. He raves about them.

@Dan Hutter How much are the tubes though? I wouldn't have any luck trying to roll joint tobaccos though. I can't roll, and screw those e-cigs. I've tried it before, didnt like

The tubes are $3 a box for 200 tubes and like $12 for a pound of tobacco which makes a hair less than 2 boxes.

Does your injector have a crank on it @Dan Hutter?
We always had ones similar to this one.

but I always wanted to try one of these, they were way to much considering this one up here ^ was only a few bucks.

I thought about trying to electric cigarettes but figured I'd still want a real cig after one of them..lol
@Monster posted over on General Forums about using them and it sounds like it was successful for him to get off real cigs?
I've been using Swidish Snus for the past 2.5 months and haven't had a smoke since.
I've saved a lot of money, I go through a $3 can about ever 5 days or so depending on how stressed I get.
It's a start, I'm hoping to be off them at some point.

We use the crank one. The little plastic jobbers are fine if your doing a few at a time but we make a carton at a clip. It takes me about 45 mins to an hour and my mom just short of an hour and half.

The Premier crank machines are the best. Top has one that looks just like the Premier machine it's crap. We've been doing the homemade cigs for about 4 years and have went through 4 machines. The 2 that broke fast were different iterations of the Top machine.

Well I have been smoking for 4 to 5 years and my favorite brand is marlboro lights.

It worked for a week or two, after that I smoked even more than before for a while ... also, I had to continue to smoke the occasional regular cigarette after starting with electric ...

I'm smoking about 1-2 packs per day ... currently either Pall Mall or John Player Reds, depending on what's in the cigarette vending machine. I used to smoke Camel, but my body doesn't like them anymore.

Cigarettes are very expensive over here, so I have to spend a significant amount of my salary on it ... I also tried chewing tobacco after @Brandon said snus worked for him, but it's too strong for me.

I only smoke Pall Mall when my friends have it and I'm all out of Newports. I like the taste of regular nicotine in Newports which is why I smoke them. I don't like the electric ones either, they're just not the same to me.

I tried chewing tobacco years ago and it only made me sick. That's not for me either. I don't blame you.

I smoke Pall Mall Filter Cigarillos, don't know it it's available in your country. Here in Germany it's cheaper than normal cigarettes because the tax is way lower.
One pack contains 17 cigarillos and I save more than 50% compared to cigarettes, additional a cigarillo holds for 10 minutes. Average a day is 20-30.
Hope to find the power to stop this craziness because it will kill me if I don't.

Is the filter longer than 1 or 2 mm? I've tried to smoke filter cigarillos several years ago, but the effect was not the same as on a cigarette filter. I'm from Germany as well, so any advice would be welcome! :)

Yes, the filter is same as normal cigarettes, I have tried some different cigarillos but the Pall Mall has the best taste. But be careful, it's stronger than normal cigarettes. Try it out, it's just 2.20€.

Thanks. I'll give it a go! :)
