OK I have a TON of Loops... I figure I can try to make Rice Crispy type of snacks for church...

Any other ideas on what to do with these?? I have donated to SEVERAL organizations... but decided to keep a bunch for the family!

TIA!

FRUIT LOOP COOKIES

1 1/4 lb. almond bark, melted
3 c. fruit loops
1 1/4 c. Rice Krispies
3/4 c. salted peanuts
1 1/2 c. sm. marshmallows

Melt almond bark. Add fruit loops, Rice Krispies, salted peanuts and marshmallows. Mix and drop small spoonful on wax paper until set. Makes 9 dozen.

There are more at this same site (http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,fruit_loop,FF.html) but they all seem to be a variation on this theme.

OMG! This would send my sugar intake through the ROOFFFF!!! Good thing I won't be eating them.... Froot Loops alone are a BIG no no for me! Thanks! I will try this... now to find some Almond Bark on sale.

I saw that Jewel had a bunch, but not sure of the price.

Did you read the first post... DORK??? ;)

I ALREADY have the cereal... need to find uses for it!

Or did you mean the Almond Bark???

in 7th grade home ec--we made these rice krispie type treat BUT with trix ( I am sure you could use fruit loops

The recipe called for jello mix the cereal and corn syrup ( not sure what else) but these were so fruity and yummy

1/3 c. Corn Syrup
2 tsp. butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello, any flavor (I used Cherry as that is what I had on hand)
4 c. Trix cereal

1. Mix syrup, butter and Jello in a small-medium sauce pan over high heat.
2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
3. Pour over cereal in separate bowl.
4. Spread into 8′-square greased pan.
5. Place in refrigerator for a minimum of 2-hours to allow to set properly.
6. Cut into squares when cool.

I made the ones that were krispes but with loops for my son's b-day in July, and those were everyone's favorites. I crushed them into little circle sized portions (like loops.)
