Sheeeooooot. Been $4.08 the past week up here. :surprise0785: But you know that the farther north you go, the more expensive EVERYTHING gets! Still recovering from the shock of $4.29 for a 10# bag of potatoes. Nope. We'll eat corn or rice for a while.

we've only just dropped back from $4.20 to $4.05 apart from a couple of days at $3.99 so think yourself lucky Charles!

Well I'm certainly not complaining about $3.89..... but man honestly it's out of control...

The only way to stop it is to not buy it... we are doing our best to do that. All three of us ride to work together in one car... and as of today, no more going out to lunch. So 5 miles a day.. thats it.. unless we have to.

CNN reports that ESSO, SHELL & PETRO CANADA gas stations will start showing PORN movies on the screens of the pumps so that you can see someone else get screwed at the same time you do.

I had to fill my van yesterday...$4.05 for the middle grade...bill was $49.55! OUCH!

Carol, we used regular in our Honda when we had it. Check your manual. You may be able to drop down to regular and save some money that way. Liz

Liz, re our discussion about using regular instead of the middle grade...dh says using the middle grade eliminated the 'pinging' in the engine...runs smoother. Besides, he says it's only about $1.50 more for a tankful, so not worth having the pinging just to save money.
