Gas prices

We paid 2.70 yesterday! Dh and I did a happy dance in the gas station parking lot.

Ah, it seems like just yesterday we were whining about $2.70. Have the gas companies brainwashed us already?

I'm dreaming of $2.70, so they got me "washed" and still taking me to the "cleaners"!

NEW YORK — Oil and gas futures prices retreated Tuesday on expectations that a government inventory report on Wednesday will again show that crude and gasoline stocks rose last week.

......and gasoline for July dropped 3.7 cents to $2.2655 a gallon.

Well, y'all know the 4th of July holiday is coming. Wouldn't be right for them to miss out on all the extra miles driven. do I detect sand in the vasiline?

I'll definitely be filling up my gas cans for the mowers and weedeater, and filling up the Mule. My Hunni filled up the van yesterday.

Maybe if I had a big tank under the ground....nah, then I'd be a gas station and want to abuse the neighbors. :harhar:

It was $2.71 at Costco today. Charles can no longer give you the west coast prices. :clapping: Liz
 
Oh fer cry'n out loud. What's with Michigan? It's $3.09 here this morning. We took the hounds to the river and Bozo desperatly wanted to go fishing with a couple of guys. Or maybe ha just wanted their lunch.. Heh heh

What awesome pics, Bozodog!!! Wonder how long she had to sit with the feeder in her hand to get them to "bite"? Had a young'un feeding today, guessing about 1 1/2 inches long.

those pics were taken on the fly so to speak.

The lady is in the migration path and has 20 or so hummers using her feeders so just tried it....

She is quoted as saying "If I knew my husband was going to take pictures I would have put make-up on"

Her name is Abagail Alfano of Pine, Louisiana
 
Cool pics!

Our gas prices jumped up 15c on the gallon over the night. I think the gas stations had secret tank trucks come in last night and unload the expensive stuff! Back up to $3/gallon.

yep, ours are up again, despite the increase in gas/oil reserves and the refineries now working at 90%.....

I really fail to see how the Government (local and national) can say that the Oil Companies are not raping the public.

I saw the gas truck at SpeedWay last night. Our gas prices just went up 10 cents this morning. I wish they would keep buying the cheaper stuff!

Still never seen a gas truck at Meijers, but boy, since the Walmart up the road closed their gas station,the prices have risen, $3.22 there, even our local rip off speedy is only $3.14 !!!
 
Shucks! The other day, one station was $2.76 and two others were $2.96. I still can't figure a 20 cent difference.
 
Around my house, it $2.67/gallon. But in the northern part of the state, at Morgantown, it was $2.89/gallon. And some of the "out-of-the-way" places were even higher.

Today, I filled up the beast (my Rendezvous) and it was $2.63/gallon at Sam's for regular. Liz
