A week ago, the price was $2.63/gallon. This morning when I filled up the van, it was $2.79.
We made about a 400 mile round trip to Morgantown and filled up when we got back home at the same place where we filled up this morning and the price is.......***drumroll***.......$2.99.
What in the world?
Funny how the Govt can never prove that the consumer is being gouged by the oil companies.....
Around here the prices jump around quite regularly (sometimes every 3-4 days).
I asked one of the operators and they said they were going through the gas very fast and when a new shipment comes...it is higher and so they have to raise it.
I asked another operator and they said it took several days to get a new shipment in...so he did not know how the other place was able to run out, place a new order, get the shipment in and get the sign changed so fast.?
Smells a little fishy to me.
Here is a handy tool for finding the cheapest gas in any town:
It was still 2.63 at Sam's today...didn't need any but I did notice on that map that it didn't list Sam's or Costco. And those are my lowest options here. Liz
