I don't think I ever introduced myself when I joined.....can it be??...a year has gone by already!! geesh.

Anyway, I am Lisa:

- wife of a wonderful, hard-working, good-looking, and extremely home-improvement minded husband.
- mom to 3 adorable kids- 4.5 yr old boy, 2.5 yr old girl, and 13m old girl
- part-time Accountant and part-time massage therapist
- full time deal seeker

I used to be over-budget every month on groceries until I started couponing. This was actually one of my 1st sites when I started Qing. Talk about being thrown into the fire, but it was great and I think i caught on pretty quick, although I am still learning everyday. Now, I spend 25% of what I used to and sometimes less. I thank you for this site immensely.

Oh, and I LOVE the rye chips and BOLD is my favorite Chex mix.

I wish my DH was "home improvment minded"!

it is a blessing and a curse!! Never have to hire anyone to "fix things", but there is something always "a work in progress" around the house.

We did some demolition and are slow to get it put back again. :surrender:

Hi, my name is Charlie and I'm a dealaholic.

I live in Arlington Heights, IL (far southeast side, Mt. Prospect/ Des Plaines/ Elk Grove).

The rye crisps from Gardettos are the best, but they hafta be from their party mix not just the bag of crisps (no challenge there).

Yes, that's the one, bold not zesty. I do like the new jalapeno one too, and the dark chocolate mix is a distant third.

oh and :welcome1::welcome1::welcome1:

Same here. DH demo'd the kitchen...it took 10 years to do... we ended up hiring someone to finish and he finished the day before I gave birth to my second DS1! 10 years of nothing. One big empty room!

How did you live without a kitchen for 10 years?!

I'm not new, just quiet. I'm a homeschooling mom to 3 kids (11,9,7) with a hubby who travels 5 days out of 7. I never get to the store on the first day of the sales (or the second or the third, etc.) due to our lifestyle. Therefore, I never have any new good deals b/c they've already been done.

I've been couponing since February of this year, so I'm not newbie and I'm certainly not a couponing goddess, although I've certainly rocked my share of deals.

I also stay quiet so as to not appear stupid because I hear there is someone on here who dips newbies and chews on them.

:quiet: Shhhhh! Don't tell her who I am.

My turn!!!

Although I have replied to a few posts I have never officially introduced myself.

I live in the far NW burbs. It me any my DH, no kiddos yet. I have been doing the coupon thing since February of this year. My husband and I survived without or generics, now we live like kings and queens. I was introduced to CW on a trip to Jewel doing the Culinary Kitchen pizza deal (Mashupmom mentioned it). While in line I saw the lady next to me buying exactly 7 pizzas too, intrigued I struck up a conversation. She told me about CW. I can not remember her screen name, so if you are reading this- Thank you sooooooooooooo much. So I checked CW out. AMAZING!!!! I LOVE CW. I die with hysterical laughter with some things you ladies(and gentlemen) say. I have found my home. :yahoo:

Not easy! And get this!! My DH couldn't understand why I couldn't "cook meals like I used too??" Well when all you have in your LAUNDRY ROOM is a hot plate, microwave, utility sink, toaster oven and crock pot you are kind of limited.

At first we fought nonstop for about 2 years and then I finally said f**k it. I stopped cooking. I was done. We ate out alot. 4 years after that baby#1 came ( guess I wasn't mad all the time!!) and I started in on him. Nope. Nothing work was too busy. So 3 months our kitchen before baby#2 arrived we hired someone, it killed him, and he complained and picked on all of the guys work. It was finished literally the night before my baby was to be induced. In fact I was in labor and I braved it out to make sure my house was finished!!

Now get this... on Friday we found out I was going to be induced on Tuesday. I called my DH and told him. An hour later my Dad shows up at my door in work clothes (kitchen guy still working...) I am like why are you here?? DH walks in the door he is gutting the family room downstairs to the studs so he can reinsulate and redrywall!!! That way while I am in the hospital we can have his friend tape and mud the drywall. So I had the kitchen and family room being down up until 10:00pm the night before baby#2 was born. My DH and Dad were too tired and wanted me to WAIT awhile until I went to the hospital. So I braved it out and showed up at the hospital to be induced and to my doctors surprise the baby came. One push!! I swear I should have killed him.

He always pulls stunts like this. He has for the last 24YEARS!!! I am a saint. He is VERY LUCKY to have me. I remind him EVERYDAY!!:snicker:

nicklesm17 you ARE a SAINT!!! No way would I put up with that. My worst project was when our master bathroom was "under construction" for 4 months. What was supposed to be a "weekend job" of just putting in a new tile floor and new vanity, it turned into a new tub, toilet, tiled wall around the tub, and new cabinet/mirror wall thingy. I kept saying, "all I wanted was a new vanity"

On the flip side, my hubby just made me a pantry. He extended the coat closet in our hallway closer to the living room and converted the old coat closet into the pantry. it is marvelous. I will have to post pics soon. oh, but the coat closet isn't completely finished. project started 3 months ago:giggles:
