I just pulled a chart together on my spreadsheet. We have a 4bed 2bath home in the Chicagoland area which has an awfully high air rate exchange rating of 1hr (from our energy audit in late 2009).
Our Gas costs stay in the low $600 for the yr each of the last 3 yrs.
Our electric is $12-1300.
We like our heat at 73 and our air at 70 plus use additional electric heaters in certain areas of the house. ETA my hubby has a ton of computers as well (for work) going much of the time.
