How often do you go to the doctor?

The only time I go to the doctor is if I have a pain that I cannot figure out the problem to online. Otherwise I just get some bed rest and hope it heals up.

I usually got to the doctor every couple months, when I start to feel sick enough where medicine doesn't seem to be working. Usually, they just prescribe more hassling tablets, but the trip to the clinic is worth it. In the past few months actually, I haven't been feeling too sick, so my average months may have increased by one or two. Hopefully it'll stay this way for a while.

I usually google it first, and wait for it to heal by itself. Sometimes it's easier that way, it just sucks when it's actually a real problema nd you waited *THIS LONG* to go to the doctor. But I just hate the fact that if it does turn out to be nothing, the doctor prescribes you with really expensive medicine that you might not have needed.

I moved from the Orange County area to Los Angeles to Sacramento. That move made a huge difference and I no longer have insurance. I haven't had a primary doctor since I moved from Orange County. That was like five years ago. The last time I managed to see one though happened to be last year due to an emergency visit. I ended up with a boost shot for TB.

I go once every 3 months, even if I am feeling well - just for a check up and to get my blood tested for any nasties.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Not often enough, judging from everyone's responses. My last check-up was probably 2 years ago. I feel fairly healthy most of the time, so I never really felt the need.

Once a year or so. I mainly do it becouse my mom tells me to. If I lived alone, I think the number would reduce to once every three years or so haha

I never go to the doctor, I live a healthy lifestyle, I eat natural food, I don't drink or smoke and I exercise regularly. I don't feel I need to visit the doctor because I feel good.

Once a year if I must and require a prescription. I've neverr had anything too melodramatic. Well, not in adulthood anyway. The doctor is very convenient for me so there's not much hassle in going to him.

I usually only go to the doctor to get my physical done and that was almost a year ago now. Unless is sense that there is something wrong with me I just continue playing sports.

I go to the doctor about once every 3 months. I go for a physical every 6 months and the other times, I just have a cold. Other than that, I do not visit often.

I usually go twice a year for a physical. I just get my height, weight, blood pressure, eyesight and some other things checked. It's a requirement for sports at school. It's important to go frequently so the doctor can detect any possible health problems you may have. I recently found out my eyesight is 20/40. I wish I was 20/20 :o . I'll probably get contacts eventually.

I go about once a year for a physical. Always gotta make sure everything is good to go before I really get into some serious basketball games in my area.

Its been 2+ years since I've been to see the doctor.... Seems like a long time now thinking back at it. I just never feel the need to have a checkup from my doc.

In my family, medical check up happens only when there are urgent matters to be checked; like a possible appendicitis, breathing problems, or chronic pains. Otherwise, we've been ok for the past 15 years. No doctors so far! Thanks to grandma's home remedies! ^_^

That’s pretty much my attitude -- I’m big on Grandma’s home remedies, too. It’s my opinion that sometimes folks just go to those guys too dang much, anyway. We have really crappy insurance with a $300 per year deductible for each family member and $50 office visit co-pays, so I just don’t go.

Husband became a problem a couple of years ago when he was diagnosed with high blood pressure, though. So he was going once monthly to begin with. He’s down to 2x year now, in addition to his annual required FCC physical. I immediately put him on a good, all homemade healthy diet and he dropped 60 pounds in 6 months!

While I know he will be on BP meds for the rest of his life, I also know that his diet and lots of exercise are key to keeping it under control.

VERY rarely. I should go more often, though. My mom is always worried about my health thanks to the supplements I take.

I haven't been in quite a while. One or two times at most, per year. That's if I'm lucky. I don't have insurance so I can't really go and it be affordable.
