How to limit the amount of Ads displayed in page? - google ads

Hello,
I have been trying to put one or two ads on some pages,
but I don't seem to find the option to display just one ad from google.
When I set the code on pages, it displays a bunch of them and in many cases they are repeated.
I already set the option Auto-ads OFF, but still shows many ads and everywhere on the page.

What code are you using for the ad? You putting in a block?
