It depends on who was saying it. If it was someone I was having a problem with, it would irritate me for a couple of hours. If it was someone I never had a problem with before or if it was someone I didn't know, it would devastate me.
How would you feel if you walked into a room and there was big congratulations sign there with your name on it but you had no idea why?
Oh! Delighted! Actually I was out fishing during a camping trip out in the middle of nowhere a few years back and one actually came and landed on the ground beside me. Just the river, me, and a hummingbird. I've seen many in flight but never, never one at rest. I just froze. It was maybe six feet away from me. I'm telling you, a trout the size of Moby **** could have taken the hook at that moment and I wouldn't have moved. It's little chest was heaving, and it looked around for a second, and then Zzzzzzzzz--it was up vertically and gone. One of the best moments of my life.
How would you feel if a total solar eclipse happened without warning?
Disappointed and surprised, initially. But babies are such a wonderful blessing I would probably get over it quickly. After that I would be super supportive, mainly just to get my hands on that baby!:fingers-crossed:
How would you feel if a small wild animal ran into your house when you opened the front door?
Pissed at first, but then I would realize that I'm my own best friend and that I made it for myself really.
How would you feel if you had grown up among madmen, became one yourself, and then, finally, recovered?
(p.s.: @rosebud: If you're ever plagued by the hiccups, follow this simple procedure I gleaned from Sesame Street as a kid: With your fingers close your nose and ears, close your eyes, and dry swallow three times in a row. When you yawn afterwards, the hiccup is gone. Always, almost.)
Delighted. (I actually dreamt about that once, I was alone in a cabin of some spacecraft, for years, apparently, and I woke up without knowing what I was doing there. My wristwatch seemed to show the year 22xx, and I was trying to figure out how old I was when I woke up.)
I often hope that I wake up elsewhere someday. With all the worlds I have dreamt about, I know there's many other interesting places out there.
How would you feel if one day you would realize you had been alive for millions of years? (I had a dream about that once! lol)
