I bet KG sent out a text picture to her lovies that is why they got to see her.

Nope - a while back she said if anyone was interested in baby info to send her your e-mail. She sent out an e-mail yesterday afternoon from a baby site with a link to see a few pics of the baby.

I do agree - little Winona is absolutely precious. Hopefully kg will be able to tear herself away from the little one for a few minutes to tell us all about her and how they're both doing. (Not to mention how Gingerballs & his buddies feel about the new addition. ) :giggles:

OMG OMG OMG....I saw pictures of Princes Winona :bliss:

She is stunningly gorgeous and has the most unbelievable eyes (they seem to be blue). In one picture her little fingers are laced together and she's sticking her wee little tongue out in her sleep.

She's an absolute angel!!!!!

thanks for asking! even though I was sliced into, I feel MUCH, much better than I did 2 weeks ago. it's actually easier to get up and down stairs and into/out of bed now. They pumped me full of saline during the induction and surgery, so my legs and feet were bloated with fluid retention for a week, but that has been clearing up gradually. My feet were so swollen, the shoes I wore into the hospital didn't fit (not even close!), and I had to wear my slippers home. part of my back is still numb from either the epidural or the spinal block (I had both, cuz I'm such a star). But I can finally fully inflate my lungs again, my skin has cleared up, my sinuses cleared up, and best of all we are just so happy to have our baby.

Are you home yet, KG? If so, how was Night #1? Was your DH able to take some time off?

yes, yesterday dh actually asked for more time off. we didn't expect to be in the hospital all frickin' week last week. we thought we'd be home sooner. We stayed 2 nights for the induction, then C-section is supposed to stay 4 nights post-op, but I begged to go home after 3. Everyone in the hospital being all up in my business eventually got to me.

So before she was born when you had a list of names, but dh was convinced it was going to be one particular name, was that name Winona?

yes. other names we both liked were Georgia, Evangeline, Arabella, Oriana. DH picked Winona but I had to see her first. If she had come out blonde she likely would have been Fiona. She feels like Winona to me.

Sorry I took so long getting back here. I missed you guys but I didn't want to come back until we had uploaded pics, so I could share some. and I had to catch up on alllll the sleep I didn't get in the hospital. and we've really been enjoying being together and bonding as a family; we're being selfish with our time. We haven't even unpacked the laptop yet. I love seeing DH as a dad; it makes me love and appreciate him more than ever. I knew I loved her before she was born, but I had no idea I would love her this much <3

So what is new around here? :bee:
