Same here. We had them a lot when I was a kid. Now it's just as easy to mix ground beef with pasta, veggies and some seasonings/sauces (bbq sauce!) for something a bit healthier.
I have made it for my family maybe less then 5 times of 22 years of marriage
BUT I make it for myself for lunch--well used to when the kids were small
I like cheeseburger or the one with potatoes--the tuna ones are yummy too
LOL--I like salt and cheapy tasting food.
a few months back I made a box on the weekend--I was starving and everyone else had ate somewhere else--well lo and behold I made it and 2 of my kids said yum can we have some--why don't you make this more often??
My DH's fav is the chili mac and cheeseburger ones. Sometimes I'll make a couple boxes and put into containers for DH to take to work for lunch. Just as salty (prolly as fast food) but cheaper.
You aren't missing much. Processed dinner junk IMHO. I only buy it if it's free and then usually donate it. I rate it up there with Raamen Noodles. More college foodish.
i make it once in awhile, but add extra noodles to lessen the salt & make it stretch further. i know it isnt the healthiest, but when youre broke & hungry, you eat what you can get.
