What's new

I really want to show someone these.....

well see that makes me feel better--I thought they were to compete in , since your previous comment said they had to cover their bellies except when competing

I know about cheer--not that I had any cheer leaders--my neighbors all do competitive cheer and are GOOD--also ds's girlfriend competed until she was 16 and hurt her back and was told not to tumble anymore

They actually have more injuries than football players. I'm hoping this is not going to be a lifestyle just a short lived obsession. The older girls do seem to be getting injured all the time. I wouldn't let her do gymnastics for that same reason, too hard on the body.

football players wear pads--they dont

:)

My dd is a 65lb flyer and is thrown 15 ft in the air. I have made her many shirts that say "I fly ,you catch." I get sick to my stomach everytime. Girls are dropped all the time, not mine but others. I would kick some cheerleader **** if they dropped my baby! Alright, maybe not , but I would want to.

:hiphip: She looks just like this. A lot skinnier.:giggles:

I would be very surprised if the thread wasn't ****ted up a longgggggg time ago, Joan

oh and I'll take the chipmunk shirt over the bikini.... at least I'd wear that :giggles:

I made some phone calls round about town ..... I thought I could get a nice big room at the library, but found out they only allow "groups" to use them, unless we were to offer to teach the whole town to decorate cookies :hides: Plenty of rooms at the town hall/village rec offices, but they're $60/1hour, or $90/2 hours. I know lots of people at my church, but they don't rent to non-church groups anymore,... however I can get the youth ministry teen room... not an ideal setup though... probably 12 people would be the max... not the nice long tables with space all around idea I had in mind. I've got one more church to ask and I chatted with focadima and she's going to see if she can come up with something out her way...

Couple of questions for ya............

How many people are seriously interested??? (though I know it depends on day/time/place)

Any of all yu'all who are really really interested..... does anyone perhaps have a location available we could present at??? I know it's crazy tough to pick a place that centrally located to all of us... but if it were somewhat kinda reasonable for Lisa and I to drive out to, that could be a possibility...

Check frankfort library. They let you rent the room for a deposit, but get it back. I think you say its open to the public, but random people don't walk in the room ( just those u invite)

I'm interested:-)

They rent it to you even if you don't live in Frankfort??? :bee:

ahhhhhh.... thank you!

Too bad it's even way further from all the north side peeps who expressed an interest :giggles:

I wonder if that's how my library meant it..... sounded to me more like I'd have to actively offer it to everyone, like in the newsletter ... hmmm

Definitely good to know!

It'll be a great meeting place for the Southside Chapter of the CW Cookie Decorating Guild :bliss:
