Heyas,

Here's a really weird problem for you guys. I've done nothing to cause this, I haven't changed any settings nor have I installed any new software.

For some reason, in IE (version 5.5, using Win2K with SP1) I can no longer open a seperate window by clicking on anything with a target=_blank tag, or even right clicking on any old link, and selecting "Open in new window". It will just flicker the taskbar for just a second as if it were trying to do something, but then just stay put. When I reboot into Windows ME (which I use for gaming) I have no such problem.

I have redownloaded IE 5.5, and reinstalled over my old files to make sure it wasn't a corrupt file. I also reset all internet options, settings, etc. to defaults. Including all explorer folder options and settings as well.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Can't say that I'm experiencing the same thing. It works fine for me.

Always worked fine for me too.

This is amazingly usable now. I can't even click and drag an icon on the desktop (like the recycle bin) to someplace else on the desktop.

It's the weirdest thing I've ever encountered on a PC in my entire life.

I'm going to have to take an entire weekend and do a reinstall of the OS and all **** apps. It's really pissing me off.
