Kinda like this post?

that is perception. We are typing here. You aren't getting voice or tone or anything. Maybe it is less noticeable because it doesn't exist. It is just your judgment/perception that you put on that person.

Which is why (IMO) asking for clarification is better than assuming that person is bad intended.

I guess so...

Some people are discreetly judgemental and rude and others are over the top judgemental and rude. No matter which, it seems that most people get offended when called out on it. I don't. If I was being rude or judgemental, I apologize. I am not going to get mad are argue about it if you call me out on it though.

Thanks, Joan. But sometimes the blindside isn't worth the commaraderie.

I have posted sooo much less for months now......but do miss it and all of you more in my life.

I have totally noticed this! I've noticed you've been very quiet lately!!!! :pout:

Have y'all read The Help? I just finished it last night...Some of these posts remind me of that book.

This thread is completely irrelevant now, isn't it?

I was just as confused as mrsmom was for a bit there, and just when I thought I was caught up, then I was trying to figure out who was white, who was black, and who was being called the N word...DH's ex? The OP? Santa or Jesus???

I feel like I should go back to bed ROFL.

If you wanna ROFL at me, last night I went out to a bar (gasp!!!!) (had a coke) (coca cola) and met up with my sister and our two friends. They brought two of their friends. I was admiring one's hair and we were laughing how at beauty school, girls stereotyped short hair for either being a lesbian or liking black men.

WEEEELLLLLL one girl was a lesbian and the girl with short hair is married to a black man :faint: I could have died.

Open mouth, insert foot. I'm an idiot lol. Think I've been banned from there too lmao

:shesaid: everything autumnsky said... I have noticed your quietness, Barb.

Oh, and I agree with MrsMom...Getting High on whatever drug is different than drinking. Drugs are illegal. That's comparing apples to oranges.

I still stick to "drive undrunk"...no matter the background

This makes me very sad. Don't let asshats like this ruin what we have here. Come on, my mom was called a domestic terrorist by a pretty much former member and I didn't let it stop me from talking about my crazy life. 99% of this board are here to support each other, don't let the miserable 1% stop you!

How did u get a percent sign?

My kids aren't perfect, neither am I, and I don't expect them to be perfect.

However, I still fail to understand how it's relevant to teach my kids to be responsible (not driving drunk) by having to help me out of a situation in which I am being irresponsible (drinking and not being able to drive). A lesson learned by negative example can be valid, but that doesn't make teaching lessons by positive example doesn't work.

I want my kids to learn there is always choice. INCLUDING the choice of: if you go there in your car, don't drink at all (it isn't necessary to have a good time IMHO) because if you do, you might drink to excess, and that gets into the area of irresponsibility.

But I will freely admit I despise the taste of alcohol, my parents/grandparents were/are constant altered-staters and they don't have a care in the world if they drive drunk (though they should know better). Their behavior taught me my current attitude, but I can't say it would have been any less valid to learn that lesson from a better/more positive or different type of example.

I figured it out - I hit the % sign! Seriously, that's all I did.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

%

Oh go ahead~

Maybe me and Joan have better computers because we don't spend all our money on alcohol....

I have been doing o/o for a while now  It's been so long, it's habit. I used o/o instead of PERCENT SIGN in a work document I was typing last week  Situationally inappropriate!
