Contestants in the World Muslimah 2013 competition perform onstage in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Wednesday, September 18. As an answer to the Miss World competition, the annual award was created to crown the woman who applies "Islamic values in everyday life" as Miss World Muslimah, according to the World Muslimah website.

It does seem a little odd, considering Miss World contests are usually geared towards people with large breasts and small brains.

At least it is actually based on values and such, rather than as Rebecca Chambers said: large breasts and small brains.
However, with that 'ideological culture' behind the pageants, and although they are holding it as a response - it seems a tiny bit like they're going against their beliefs.
