Audio Grabber works with any CD reader that is capable of reading CDG I think you will find that is the case on all of the programs used to rip CDG if the reader doesn't read CDG the program can't rip them. With Audio Grabber I have used Plextor, HP, Sony and Hatachi all have worked fine without issues with the exception of damaged disc.
That's true about Audiograbber the drive does need to be able to at least read CDG's.
Power CDG Burner however is a little less discriminating and works with almost any drive whether it states it can read CDGs or not. Also... it has been my experience that the graphics ripped with Power CDG Burner are 99.9% of the time better than those ripped by any other program.... meaning almost zero graphical errors.
I have discs that ripped horribly with other programs... sure the audio was fine but the graphics (and really the most important part of the process) contained errors little glitches some so bad that the lyrics would become un-readable.... not so with Power CDG Burner.... every track baring ones comming from damaged or older discs ripped the graphic with near zero errors if any at all.
I rip with a $20 Lite-On drive from Wal-Mart and no where in the manufactures literature states that it is suppose to read CDGs. Not only that but I can write discs with Power CDG Burner from the files I create that are as good as the original discs they came from and play in any CDG player.
