What software to you guys use to rip and play your digital karaoke???

Also, do I need a special CD drive??

You're going to get several answers from Exact Audio to Audiograbber.... here's the short list:

#1 Choice: Power CDG Burner from www.powerkaraoke.com
This one is not free but hands down does the best job in regards to the graphics and audio rips. Also, almost any CD-Rom drive is compatible with this program.

#2 Choice: Audiograbber
The advantage to Audiograbber is it is free and many people love it for ripping their CD's and it can do CDG's as well. The down side is the graphics don't always come out good and compatible CD-Rom drives are limited.

Also, do I need a special CD drive??

Yes, it needs to support CDG read at a minimum but some drives don't list this compatibility and are still compatible.... just about any Lite-On drive will work.

As for play back my weapon of choice is Winamp plus AutOKdj
