I am certain Brandon meant this......The Time Quartet is a fantasy/science fiction series of four young adult novels written by Madeleine L'Engle.

Those novels are:
A Wrinkle in Time (1962)
A Wind in the Door (1973)
A Swiftly Tilting Planet (1978)
Many Waters (1986)

With the addition of the following:
An Acceptable Time, (1989), the series is marketed as the Time Quintet.

Icephoenix made this comment and I asked what the phrase "time quintet" meant; immediately after her comment Brandon wrote "I am sounding time with the family" and divastar answered my question, but with reference to Brandon's comment and not icephoenix's. I'm assuming she thought both comments were related.

Interesting, divastar--I read the first three of Madeleine L'Engle's books, but didn't know there were two others and wasn't aware that's what they were called. Mind you, it's been some years since I read them.
 
I am sorry for mixing up icephoenix and Brandon's posts and confusing everyone....LOL.....I did mean to to say 'I am certain icephoenix meant this'...not Brandon...sorry all
